Respected Datuk Dr S Subramaniam, Honourable Members of The Jury, Organising Committee, Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is with humbleness and gratitude that we accept the YIEA award for the year 2008. We feel delighted to be judged worthy of receiving this prestigious award.
I would like to thank my partner, Raj Kumar, for his friendship, trust and for being with me in this entrepreneurial journey. I also thank my parents and my family, especially my wife who has always been by my companion in times of happiness and difficulties.
When one thinks of an entrepreneur, we usually think of an innovative, resourceful trailblazer, a person with vision, energy and passion to pursue their ideas. Entrepreneurs are almost always associated with business. On the other hand, social activists are often perceived as bleeding hearts, totally dependent on public charity in order to serve the poor and the needy. That artificial divide is now being challenged.
I believe in every journey of an entrepreneur life, there should be a good balance between the definition of being an entrepreneur and being a social activists. There should not be any compromise on core values; respect for people, ethical behaviour and all our actions should also result in common good for the society and our country.
As an Entrepreneur, we should always look for better than the best and should be prepared for the worst. In this respect we have always tried to build a world class company in association with world class customers, vendors and employees. Truly, CnetG is now a Malaysian MNC company with the vision and drive to be a leader in what we do.
Once again, I thank SENET and the judges for bestowing this honor. By bestowing this award on us, I realise a big responsibility is put on our shoulders. I am sure that this would encourage and inspire us to contribute more in whatever manner to the benefit of society and all stakeholders.
