On December 10, 2020, CnetG Asia and IRC Global Executive Search Partners formalized a Memorandum of Understanding with the 30% Club Malaysia. The 30% Club Malaysia Chapter was launched in 2015 by the Prime Minister aiming to bring more women onto Malaysian corporate boards.
We are very happy to announce that CnetG Asia and IRC Global Executive Search Partners have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the 30% Club Malaysia together with the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance (MICG) and Asia School of Business (ASB) respectively.

The 30% Club Malaysia is part of a global campaign led by Chairs and CEOs taking action to increase gender diversity at board and senior management levels. Statistics at the end of 2019 showed women's representation on the top 100 public listed companies (PLC) boards rose to 26.9%. There was also no all-male board in the Top 100 PLCs. The 30% Club hopes this is a temporary setback and will continue its efforts to address the gap.

This join-statement will strengthen our partnership to achieve a common goal - promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) by building the female leadership pipeline and bring women onto Malaysian boards.

Together with the 30% Club Malaysia and their partners, CnetG Asia and IRC Global Executive Search Partners, we will continue our journey to support enterprises in acquiring knowledge, insights, and best practices to strengthen diversity and inclusion in their agenda. Therefore, we will develop activities and programmes that advance on boards and C-Suits with PLCs, multinational companies, universities, and professional bodies.

“CnetG Asia is committed to guiding boards and senior management to make effective and inclusive leadership hiring decisions. Our objective is to encourage boards and executive search firms in Malaysia to support principles and best practices in building diverse and inclusive board and management teams. Executive search firms play a key role in identifying and engaging with a wider pool of talents through their various networks, trust, and credibility with executive talents,” said Raj Kumar Paramanathan, Managing Partner, CnetG Asia.

The partnership with the 30% Club Malaysia will strengthen the impact in encouraging a diverse and inclusive environment in the workplace. Furthermore, it will bring positive change to Malaysian corporations that will not only reflect in a positive and innovative work atmosphere but in the numbers as well.

At CnetG Asia and IRC Global Executive Search Partner, we have established special techniques to ensure that DE&I is included to the fullest in our recruitment and onboarding practices. This way we have helped several clients to turn around their hiring policies that resulted in higher innovation levels and a comparative advantage against their competitors.
